Always Forever Sometimes Never Book 4 edition by Cheryl McIntyre Dawn Decker Literature Fiction eBooks

The most gorgeous writing--and the deepest love I have ever read. THIS is why we authors write. To create something this beautiful.

Once I finished it, I literally bawled which, believe it or not, says more about the story, the characters, the depth, the angst, the love, than it does about me right now. I love Cheryl's series Dirty so much, but a girl can love different styles. Where Dirty was gritty and raw, unapologetic in its ugly, passionate reality, in Always Forever, Cheryl is back to her New Adult roots. SPOILER: There IS no better HEA than this. There is no better love—Mr. Dee, do you love me this deep? Please tell me you do! :))

And at the tail end of it, when I was actually a bit grieving with the loss of the novel almost being over, she threw me a bone: a promise for another story I'm absolutely giddy about. #stopsrambling

Always Forever Sometimes Never Book 4 edition by Cheryl McIntyre Dawn Decker Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I seriously do not know how this woman does it. Always Forever was probably my new favorite book of Cheryl's. Every book is more amazing and beautiful than the last. It's so hard to pick a favorite. But I 100% without a doubt know I want to be part of a Kellin and Roh sandwich ;-)
I loved getting to see some of our favorite characters from past books and meeting new ones. I loved Kellin. The name alone makes me love him and he pretty much put my other fictional book boyfriend Kellan Kyle to shame... he gave him a run for his money and he did NOT disappoint. Roh, oh Roh.... he kept me laughing the entire time and I seriously am in love with him. And Sadie, I truly hope we get their story next! and Misty I loved. She was adorable and such a wonderful character. I love a second chance at love kind of book and this was everything I expected and so much more. It made you laugh, happy, sad, it was truly raw and beautiful. The writing was impeccable and flawless. And the plot alone is very intriguing and that alone captures your attention and does not let go until the very last page. I had to actually slow down, I didn't want to finish and then I couldn't help myself. Sigh. I will be re-reading this by the end of the week. The scenes were amazing and touching. Her saving milk for him, the nerf wars, it was just simply a beautiful phenomenon.

The book starts off and Luke is asking Misty to marry him. He gives her one summer to make sure he is what she wants and to settle any unresolved feelings. And Misty knows in order to move on she needs to take that chance and get over Kellin Patel. Kellin is going through a tough time and recently breaks up with his cheating girlfriend and Misty shows up and they decide to take a camping trip with their friends Sadie and Roh. The entire encounter is amazing and hilarious. The two are getting to the bottom of things that happened in the past and trying to be friends. But circumstances are against them and the pull is strong. The two start to fall all over again so Kellin makes Misty another proposition. To stay the remainder of the summer with him. And she does, but soon things start to go wrong. Can they finally have a chance at happiness or will unforeseen events and circumstances keep them apart yet again? you will have to read to find out.

"You run, I run with you."

"And she's your ex. I whacked it- past tense- to fantasies of your now ex girlfriend."

"I lied about the toilet seat thing, so it's okay. We're pretty s***** roommates too."

"You said you fell in love with her again. Love doesn't work that way. It doesn't run out and need refilling. It's like a well. You draw from it. But the supply is endless."

"My four-leaf-clover?""Hard to find, once in a lifetime, once you have it you hold onto it, etcetera."

"We all get old, fat, and wrinkly- if we're lucky enough to live that long. And then someday, we all die. I want to get old, fat, and wrinkly with you- my best friend."
Recap about the characters from previous books in the series. Mason and Kellin are brothers. Mason and Hope got married. Hope's brother Guy was the man of honor. Hope's friends are Annie and Lucy. Park and Lucy are married. Annie and Chase are together.
Luke and Misty are together. Luke proposed to Misty but she had reservations about it so Luke gave her the summer to sow her wild oats. Those oats come in the form of Kellin. Kellin is the past that got away because the timing was not right.
The timeline is a bit confusing to keep track of. Chapter eight was a past reference from when Misty and Kellin met for the first time yet it was not labeled.
"Misty and I have a history. An off and on again relationship that spans eight years." Quote from Kellin. Over the summer they go camping reminiscing the past and filling in the blanks of the time apart. A trip down memory lane was sweet but not a favorite of mine to read. I had hoped for more to happen.
"I have to make a decision. Either I man up, let her go and try to be happy for her. Or I go balls to the wall and start fighting with everything God gave me."Quote from Kellin. With this statement I had hoped once again the story would progress but it stayed idle.
The pace of the story was slow. The timelines were an issue. The story spent more time denying themselves each other that when they finally allow themselves the time together they end up wasting it with past references.
It read more like a trip down memory lane and then with the time restraint added it felt rushed.
I did not love it nor did I hate it. It was fine for a free story.
