Acting Brave was a great ending to this series! It is my least favorite of the three, but that's not really saying much, since all of them are really good. As we learned last time, Jasmine may not be who she says she is, but she is getting to be the one thing she's always wanted to be: a cop on a TV show! Her costar also happens to be the sexy cop, Ryan, who mistook her for a hooker during their first meeting. It's all too good to be true, but Jasmine's past just might be catching up with her.

Acting Brave feels very different from the previous two books. Most of that is because it's told in alternating POV and has a more Romantic Suspense vibe. It's also nearly 600 pages. It doesn't feel long though. But at the same time I do think it could have been condensed a bit to keep up the pace. There's a lot going on here as we learn about Jasmine's past as Emma. It's dark and terrible, and she's definitely not past it yet. We also really get to know Ryan as he deals with the aftermath of losing his partner. And of course there's the TV show plot, as well as more about Clarissa and Neill.

I did really enjoy Acting Brave. It's very heavy though as it deals with various forms of abusive, so do be warned about that. I loved the scenes that took place on set. Jasmine and Ryan have some serious chemistry, so it makes their acting together quite interesting even if he has zero experience. I do wish some of Jasmine's back-and-forth about who she is had been cut out though. It got really repetitive and didn't add anything new. We know that she's torn and conflicted and dealing with some serious stuff without the constant reminder of who she "really" is. In the end though, it's a solid read.

Wow! Just Wow! This book was filled with so much going on that I was a little overwhelmed at times. It was one of the best books I've read in a long time. Could not put it down. The things that Jasmine went through and also Ryan were a lot to get over. The author did it so well that I was speechless when I finished the book. Great, great story. Read it! Read the whole series. You won't be sorry.
What a suspense thriller. It first started out as frustrating since it took so much back and forth, resistance and lying before Jasmine and Ryan finally started a relationship but once they finally did, the story took off. There are so many different elements to this book that is was enjoyable to read. We find out what was in Jasmine's past and it's nothing I could have imagined. My heart was racing for many chapters. I think this book was the longest of the three in the series. Definitely recommended. Now I'm off to download Clarissa's novella.
This is my favorite one out of the whole series, although I love every book in the Fenbrook Series. I wish Clarissa and Neil's book was longer but that's because they are so extremely hot together, but back to this book. Helena Newbury is now one of my favorite authors and I totally have to make sure that I have time to read before I start her books because I know that I know that I am not going to want to put down the book. I pretty much had already figured out that Jasmine was acting different parts from the previous books, but Helena took us on such a journey with Jasmine and Ryan. I loved it and it was an emotional rollercoaster (at least for me it was).
I will start by saying I am a big fan of Helen Newbury. I had been waiting for Fenbrook #3 for awhile and the wait was worth it! I was unsure if I would like a book that focused on Jasmine as she was not a favorite if mine from the other two books in this series. I was pleasantly mistaken. Jasmine made for an amazing main character; she had a lot if depth as did Ryan. What I really liked was how they didn't fall into bed and weren't suddenly in love. Helen Newbury painted Jasmine's past relationships and her relationship with Ryan in very contrasting lights, which made it all the more captivating to watch these two fall in love. Jasmine had a troubled past and lots of shallow relationships but with Ryan, it was so evident it was different.

It was great catching up with the main characters from books one and two, especially Karen and Connor as #2 was my favorite.

Also, sex scenes were HOT, HOT, HOT in this book. I won't ruin it for you but get ready to be reeled in!
I've loved the previous books in the Fenbrook Academy series and this one was no different.

The only thing that dropped it from a 5-star book to a 4-star book? It took me a loooong time before I could really get into the book. The first half is still good, but it's a lot of catching up and recap, remembering of Jasmine's past, and inner monologue where Jasmine tells herself over and over that she cannot be with Ryan. It's not that it was bad, I just didn't find it terribly interesting.

Once I got about halfway through, when Jasmine and Ryan finally admit their feelings to each other, it picked up quickly. I practically flew through the second half of the book, devouring each chapter.

I loved the chemistry between Ryan and Jasmine. They're great together. I completely believed every moment of it. Jasmine's own personal growth was a treat to read, as well.

I'll definitely be grabbing all future reads form this author. She has firmly solidified herself as one of my favorites.
