This is a great book for those new to bible study and the more seasoned, for those with time constraints or those with more time. Her two page spreads offer a particular verse, her own reflection and/or challenge to the reader as well as a saint's quote on the topic. If you are constrained by time you could jot down some thoughts on how you might put this verse into practice in your own life and reflect on your progress at a later date. If you have more time you could delve more deeply into this verse or one that speaks more to your heart using the adjacent page's space for writing and/or drawing. One of the things I especially love about her reflections is that she is so real. She is not afraid to share her own struggles with living these words in today's world. Her honesty and humility offer each of us the example needed to reflect on how we're doing on our own spiritual journeys. I am looking forward to using this beautiful resource for my study of Sirach.Product details

This is a very well made bible study and journal. I love the 8" x 10" size since it gives you plenty of room for journaling. The study has one chapter per each spread. Divided like this, I don't feel rushed. It may take me one day per chapter or it may take me several weeks, I just pick up where I am and don't feel behind since it is not labeled as Day 1, Day 2, etc. Right now she has a Facebook Group study going. This is such a bonus!
A great way to dive into Sirach and not only study it, but hear what the Lord is directly saying to YOU. Jenny introduces readers to SOUL(Study Observe Understand Love) which is similar to Lectio Divina. Thank you Jenny for this beautiful study.
With the wisdom of God in Sirach and the added encouragement and embellishment from His beloved daughter Jenny, this journal satisfies my need for simplicity. There is plenty of blank space to expand on a seemingly simple verse.
Faithful to the Daily Readings of the church, I have decided to pull it out whenever Sirach comes up. It does not require that you start from the beginning.
We began our Bible Study of The Book of Sirach today. This Journal is the perfect size. Easy to carry and store but it has plenty of room for any type of Journaling. Jenny 's text on each page guides you if you are not sure of a direction. I'm so happy with this purchase and would recommend this Jounal as a guide for not only adults but Jr High and High School Students. An excellent format to get discussion started.
I am very pleased to write a recommendation for this book and the study that goes along with it. The layout is fantastic, very clear with crisp paper and beautiful thoughts to journal and ponder. The author has gone way out of her way to provide a study journal that will both enrich and enlighten any Catholic student (new or established). I know that my studies will be enhanced by Jenny Coleen's time and efforts. Bravo!!!!!!
This is a beautifully created little book. I almost hate to write in it. It is divided into the 51 chapters of the Book of Sirach with plenty of space for you to write, draw, create, and dream your way through this awesome book of wisdom. Jenny Coleen guides you through each chapter with a specific thought-provoking verse. On the opposite page. she introduces you to her acronym S.O.U.L. with plenty of room to engage the Scripture. I know this bible study will be a permanent addition to my library long after the study is completed. It is totally awesome!
I have participated in various Catholic bible studies in the last three years, from Stacy Mitch to Fr. Pacwa to Scott Hahn, but this is my favorite so far. It is much different in that there are no prompts of questions or no guiding through the chapter of "where to go." Ms. Coleen has a verse from Sirach on the left page but I choose to read the chapter first and make notes on the right side then after I've done my part I read the verse and her thoughts. Sometimes I am on the same sheet of music as Ms. Coleen sometimes what struck me is vastly different. Either way, I've never read the book of Sirach and am learning so much more about this beautiful book in the Bible. It may seem intimidating since the book is 51 chapters, but it is broken up into bite size pieces.
